The definition - Starting from a vertical Bow Stall and flip, in the air, into a vertical stern stall. Prep - Now that you can stall the boat on its bow it is time to step things up a notch. Begin in a Bow Stall. The key to the front loop is being able to bounce the boat on its bow and maintain balance. How To - The Move - To get the kayaking bouncing on its bow you begin by pushing and pulling with your paddle blades in the water while in a Bow Stall. You can exaggerate this motion by standing up and pressing the bow of the boat into the water then leaning forward and sticking your butt as far into the air as possible. Then, as the boat begins to move downward, stand up again using the downward momentum to drive the boat further underwater. As the kayak rebounds from this submersion, jump into the air. Before the kayak reaches the peak of this aerial explosion throw your weight and body aggressively forward, just as if you were to do a front flip on a trampoline or off a cliff. This will rotate the kayak in a front flip motion. As the kayak reconnects with the water lean back to finish off the flip and assure that the kayak settles back down onto its hull for a Stern Stall.
