Soaring Eagle

Soaring Eagle-
A variation of the Spread (Eagle), the skis are spread out to the side of the body but the poles make a "V" in the middle of your body.

HOW-TO
Just like most all aerial moves you start out by assuming the position and approach the jump with plenty of speed. Pop off the lip and take flight. Be patient with the Soaring Eagle, initiating it right off the lip can throw you off balance. Wait until you approach the apex of your air. Then, spread your legs out to the side and away from your body. The variation from the Spread happens here. Bring the grips of your polls between your legs and touch your knuckles together so your polls make a "V" shape that points outwards. Hold this position as long as you can, then release and bring your legs back in and move your hands and poles back to your sides and land.

The snowboarders love seeing this ski trick, but make sure you pull your polls back out before you land or else they dig in and things just get ugly.
