Twister-
Skis are turned 90’s to the
direction of travel and the upper-body stays facing forward.
HOW-TO
Go find a nice jump that you’re
comfortable with. Do a straight air to get warmed up then
go for it. Assume the
position and pop
off the lip. Don’t initiate the twister until you’re
in the air after take-off. Start the twister too early and
it will become a half-twisting mess. Once in the air, turn
your skis 90 degrees to the direction you’re traveling.
At the same time, swing your head, shoulders, and arms in
the opposite direction. This will help you maintain balance
in the air and keep you from spinning. Untwist into your
original position and land. Piece of cake! Now try twisting
the other way.
Wanna push the envelope? Try a double twister.
Twist one direction then immediately twist the other way.
Finally land and ski away with pride.
