Post Hole
Other
wise known as:
“That guy must have been
heavy, his post hole is all the way to the ground”
A post hole refers to the imprint
you make when hiking through deep snow.
Don’t get post holing confused
with breaking trail or hiking. It is these series of post
holes that makes a trail in deeper snow. Breaking trail refers
to being the first person on the trail and there fore you
make the post holes. If people are smart they will follow
your post holes as closely as possible because it is very
hard working walking in snow when you sink down to your waist
every time you try and take a step.
When you are breaking trail and
are post holing through the snow it is smart to make sure
your ankle gator on your snow pants is around the out side
of your boots and is very tight. If your pants have little
loops on the ankle gator make sure they are connected to
your boat’s laces because getting snow in your sock
or boots is not so great.
