Backside Rodeo
An inverted 540 launched off of your heel edge.
Prep-
Think the trick over in your head and get a mental picture
also practicing on a tramp helps and try to learn it on a
jump into powder.
How To-
Approach the jump with a good amount of speed, the more speed
means the more air you will get leaving you more time for
the rotation. As you reach the lip keep your knees bent and
your weight centered.
|
(1.) Bend your knees and get
ready to launch. |
|
(2.) Pop off of your toe edge
and turn your head to look backwards over your back shoulder
while you throw your back arm in the same direction |
|
|
|
(3.) Lean backwards down
hill like you are trying to backflip and spin a backside
180. You will rotate smoother and faster if you stay in
a small ball position instead of being stretched out.
Try grabbing a solid melon to achieve this. |
 |
(4.) Hold the grab and start
to spot the landing as you rotate around to a 360. |
 |
(5.) After you see the landing,
while still holding the grab, look up hill in the way
you are still rotating. This will cause you to spin another
180 to get to the 540. |

 |
(6.) Look down at the ground
the whole time, keep your knees bent and stomp towards
the ground to absorb the landing. |
 |
(7.) Stomp it and ride
away with a big smile.
