Snowboard /Team / Matt Clinch

Full Name: Matthew Arthur clinch
Date of Birth: 3-24-83
Where in the world is Helena: Helena is a little town which happens to be the capitol of Montana. Pretty lame except we have pretty dope skatepark. The local mountain gets about a twelve-inch base so we ride around the state but lots of backcountry mostly.
Sponsors: Board of Missoula and Niftytricks, with help from Mervin, 686, Northwave, and Electric.
Years Riding: I started riding on my tenth birthday so about eight years.
What kind of vehicle are you sporting: Right know I have a black 96 blazer with a four inch lift and 31x12.5 tires, but I want to get a truck and a sled.

Rainbow Rail.

What was your best day ever riding: Best day(s) riding was a week I spent in Whistler, that place is bad ass. Also any time I’m at Hood.
Who are your influences: All my friends influence me and all the people I see that are just ripping. Also Devun Walsh and Jamie Lynn.
What is the typical day for you: Typical week day is school, work and my girlfriend.

Weekends are snowboarding all day, parting and chillin with my girlfriend at night.
Hobbies/activities:
I like to skateboard, party, swim, and chill
Where do you see your self in two years:
In two years I have no idea were I’ll be but it won't be Helena, hopefully riding at mammoth or whistler.
Contest standings for the past few years:
Placed in the top three in every amateur event including boardercross, slopestyle, and big air in MT since 1998.
Entered first professional division event at Snowbowl, in slopestyle and big air; placing first overall, February 2000.
First photo shoot with Andy Kemmis and Spencer Bradford, February 2000.
1st at Bridger 2002 junior men, slopestyle.
Niftytricks photo shoot at Hood 2002.
Thanks/Props:
I would really like to thank my mom she has been behind me ever since she bought me my first board. Wright and Board of Missoula are rad. Also all my buddies from

Helena Ross, Sean, Zach defiantly T-bird. All the kids from the A.O.F.: James, Conner, Brett, Terry, and Luke. Lakes for sure too and anybody else that has helped me.

Here is a series of Matt going huge at Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood, it is a very good representation of how he rides. This is his fourth attempt and with each attempt instead of slowing down and hucking it harder he would speed up and style it bigger until he stuck it, picture perfect. I have known Matt for a while now and am always amazed with everything he does. Not only a nice

guy but an awesome rider. And I have heard that he skateboards pretty well too.
