Free Eats at the Ski Resorts

Okay so its is pure robbery what the resorts charge for a meal and everyone knows that. But with just a few FREE condiments that they offer you can be having a multi course gourmet meal in no time. Just try out a few of these snowboarder recipes for the perfect break in your day on the slopes.

Of course you have to start out with your soup and salad

Contents

Soup

How about some Tomato Soup to start off with?

Start out by grabbing one of those Styrofoam or cardboard like bowls. First, your base, Ketchup. Either in packets or out of a dispenser make sure you get a lot.

After you get about half the volume of soup that you want its time to add some water. Hot water (like for tea) is best because then you don't have to find out if they are right about using Styrofoam in the microwave. If that's not an option then head for the microwave. Be sure to mix it up good.

Now ketchup is pretty sweet and your soup will be too, so if that's not your style its now time to get creative. Grab some pepper packets and add more then a few dashes to bring down the sweetness.

If you like a little spice and are lucky enough to be blessed with easy access to the Tabasco you are golden, if not, you will have to resort to salsa packets. This is my preference so I usually grab quite a few.

Finally, what is tomato soup with out the crackers. Most resorts always have saltine crackers out so make sure you grab plenty because they will help give a more bland flavor if you still haven't got your proportions right.

Salad

Borrow some of the lettuce that is sitting out for those people that are buying the $20 burgers and maybe a tomato and some onions.

You are going to have to rip that lettuce up into some smaller pieces and chop up your tomato and onion too but its worth the work.

Now for the dressing, I hope you like Thousand Island. Mix together ketchup, mayo and pickle relish and if you are really fancy some salt and pepper.

Enjoy your salad because up next is the main course.

Mini Sandwiches

Now, your entree.

A large handful of crackers is the first part to your sandwhich. You will be using each package as your two pieces of bread.

The mustard and mayo is usually within easy reach so grab a few of those packets as well.

Typically you will also find pickles, lettuce, tomatoes and onions out for those who are paying $20 for their burger. Just borrow some of each and experiment which sort of meatless cheeseless sandwich you like best.

Of course there is extra points and yumminess for making your sandwiches double or triple stacks.

Dessert

Does a lemonade slushy sound good?

You are going to want to start out with a cup of clean snow (you might want to take a short walk away from the resort to find this because dirty snow does not make a good snow cone). Make sure you pack it in there, just like a shaved ice or snowcone.

Next you need to grab as many lemon juice packets as possible as well as a handful of coffee sugars. You want to mix up your lemon and sugar in a separate glass until you have a sweet lemonade like liquid. You then pour your sweet liquid all over your cup of packed snow and enjoy your slushy like you did when you were a kid at the county fair.

You should hopefully be full by now so its time to get back out there and go ride.
