Gnar Gnar (or sometimes just called "the Gnar") refers to a continuous class V or higher section of whitewater. It is recognizable by having minimal eddies or non aerated water for long sections. The consequences for making a mistake are bad. People that commonly paddle the Gnar Gnar are commonly called Hair Boaters.
